Systems start at €299 for a three-stage under-sink filter. Reverse osmosis systems run from €399 to €999, depending on output, whether there is a storage tank, and whether minerals are added back afterwards. Prices include professional installation unless the product page says otherwise.

Pre-filters usually need changing every 6 to 12 months, and the reverse osmosis membrane typically lasts 2 to 3 years. The three-stage under-sink filter runs on roughly a six-month cartridge. We send you a reminder when one is due, and a change takes 30 to 60 minutes.

Nearly always. A tank system is about the size of a small toolbox and fits under a standard kitchen sink. The tankless models, like the Aplos Angel, Aplos Alpha and CROSS 90 Balance, are slimmer again because there is no storage tank. We check your space before installation.

Some water goes to the drain, and how much depends on the system. Conventional reverse osmosis uses roughly 3 to 4 litres to make 1 litre of filtered water. Our direct-flow systems are far more efficient: the CROSS 90 Balance recovers 60% of the water it takes in, so much less goes to waste.

Connection to your cold mains, a drain line where the system needs one, the filtered water tap fitted to your sink, pressure set up, commissioning, and a TDS test so you can see the water quality before we leave. We also walk you through running and maintaining it.

A tank system fills a small storage tank, so filtered water is waiting when you turn the tap on. A tankless system, also called direct flow, makes the water on demand. There is no tank taking up room under the sink and nothing standing in storage, and the flow at the tap is faster.

It depends on what is bothering you. If it is the taste and smell of chlorine, the three-stage carbon filter at €299 deals with that, needs no electricity and produces no waste water. If you also want to reduce PFAS, heavy metals and the dissolved minerals that cause limescale, that needs reverse osmosis. We are happy to talk it through on the phone.

Yes. Reverse osmosis strips dissolved minerals along with the contaminants, so the water it makes is very low in minerals. Most of our systems put them back. The 6-Stage RO and the CROSS 90 Balance both remineralise as standard, and both Aplos systems, the Angel and the Alpha, do it for €50 more. The CROSS 90 brings the finished water to 40 to 70 mg/L.

Our tank systems, the 5-Stage and the 6-Stage, come as either. A non-pumped system uses your mains pressure to push water through the membrane, and suits homes with good pressure, 2.0 bar or above. A pumped system adds a booster pump that raises the pressure at the membrane itself, so it suits homes where the flow is lower. A pump also means the system produces water faster and sends less of it to the drain. If you are not sure what your mains pressure is, ring us and we will talk you through checking it. Our direct flow systems, the CROSS 90 Balance and Supreme Clever, both have a pump built in as standard.
