Osmio Azzurra Breve with Pull-Out Spray Hose
Hot, cold and filtered water from a single tap, with a pull-out spray hose for the sink. Solid brass construction, ceramic cartridge levers, and separate internal water paths so filtered water never touches the unfiltered supply. At 475 mm it suits kitchens where a full-height tri-flow tap would overwhelm the space.
This is the tap on its own
No filter system is included. The third waterway needs to be connected to a filter or reverse osmosis system under the sink, and that system is bought separately. If you already have one fitted, this tap replaces the separate drinking water tap it came with and frees up a hole in your worktop.
How the levers work
Right-hand lever. Lift and push away from you for hot, pull towards you for cold, anywhere between for a mix. This is your normal kitchen tap function, feeding the swan-necked pull-out spray.
Left-hand lever. Pull towards you for filtered water, dispensed through the horizontal spout, which swivels smoothly to wherever you need it.
If you have a whole-home water softener, there's a second way to use that left lever. Rather than feeding it from a filter, you can feed it from the unsoftened mains so you have hard water available for drinking while the rest of the house runs softened.
Key features
- Genuinely separate waterways. The filtered channel runs independently through the tap body, so filtered water is never blended with or contaminated by the hot and cold supply. This is the difference between a real tri-flow tap and a mixer with a filter tacked on.
- Heavy solid brass body. The tap weighs 5 kg. It feels substantial in use and the polished chrome finish is hard-wearing.
- Ceramic disc cartridges. Both levers run on ceramic cartridges rather than rubber washers, which is what keeps the action smooth and drip-free over years rather than months.
- Dual-setting pull-out spray. The swan-necked hose pulls out for rinsing and filling, with two spray patterns to switch between.
- The shorter Azzurra. The standard Azzurra stands 565 mm. The Breve is 90 mm shorter at 475 mm, which matters under low windowsills, wall cabinets or over a shallow sink.

Before you order
- It fits a single standard tap hole, but three supplies run to it underneath: hot, cold and filtered
- You'll need a filter or RO system under the sink to feed the third waterway
- Measure the clearance above your sink. At 475 mm it is shorter than the standard Azzurra, but still a tall tap under a low windowsill
- The 275 mm reach should be checked against the position of your sink bowl
- At 5 kg it needs a sound worktop or sink deck to mount to
Looking after it
Clean with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth. Regular cleaning is what stops limescale building on the finish. Avoid proprietary cleaning products, including limescale removers and bathroom sprays, as they can damage the chrome.
Two things to know about long-term use, both straightforward. The spray hose connection can work loose over time and cause a small leak where it joins the column, which a small adjustable spanner resolves. The handles can also loosen and are tightened back on with a set of allen keys.
Frequently asked questions
Does this come with a water filter?
No. The tap has a dedicated filtered waterway, but the filter or reverse osmosis system that feeds it is a separate purchase. If you already have one under the sink, this tap replaces its standalone drinking tap.
Do I need extra holes drilled in my worktop?
No. It mounts in one standard tap hole. The three supplies connect below the deck, which is the main advantage over running a separate drinking water tap alongside your mixer.
Can filtered water mix with unfiltered inside the tap?
No. The filtered channel is physically separate through the tap body and exits via its own horizontal spout, so it never shares a path with the hot and cold supply.
What's the difference between the Azzurra and the Azzurra Breve?
Height. The standard Azzurra is 565 mm and the Breve is 475 mm, so 90 mm shorter. The Breve suits smaller sinks and tighter spaces where the full-height version would be impractical.
Can I use the third lever for something other than filtered water?
Yes. In homes with a whole-house softener, it's commonly plumbed to the unsoftened mains instead, giving you hard water on tap for drinking while everything else stays softened.
